Should be here today...
...the diaper bag that is! I saw another mom carrying this bag - and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I am so excited that it will be here today! Here's one stuffed for display from PBK. I ordered the khaki one thought it would go with everything. The "beauty part about it" (my papa always said that) is that it was originally $79.99 and I snagged it for only $19.99! Hooray! They have a few left - if anyone's looking for one! it's too bad we don't have a name yet - or I could have a cute monogram like this one:)
Baby room painting will start Thursday night. My sweet friend Tabitha from work is coming to help. And no worries - she has already made the painting rules very clear!
Hope you had a gerat Memorial Day weekend!

Let's just face it...
I'm pregnant.I haven't used it as an excuse but recently others have been using it as an excuse for me. Emotions bouncing all over the place, losing my mind, forgetting to be places, and lacking the ability to plan anything in the near future. It can - at times - be overwhelming.
So this week I forgot about my sales meeting at 8:00am on Tuesday. It hit me when I was driving up the interstate and the clock said 8:16...my heart dropped...literally. It was a simple mistake - but not one that I had made before.
Twice I have tried to plan showers on, 1 - Easter and 2 - Father's day. It's like my brain just isn't tracking!
Last night was really the "icing" on the cake. Aaron and I attended the Hoover High Graduation in downtown Bham. We parked a block or 2 away from the arena, went inside - watched 1.5 million little graduates recieve their diplomas (one even did a kart-wheel across the stage.) It was a happy and fun evening. UNTIL we left the arena and headed towards our car - which neither of us could find. OK - 5 minutes of searching was not too bad - 8 minutes was bad - and 10 minutes I was ready to choke someone! Not to mention that I was in non-comfy work shoes, had a major cramp in my side and it was dark as can be. We took a "short-cut" through a little mulched area and that's when it went WAY south...I stepped in a hole, twisted my ankle, and slowly went crashing to the ground. I laugh as I type this because what happened next must have been quite a spectacle! I proceeded to take off both my shoes and throw them as far into the air as I could while screaming about JUST HOW MAD I WAS! And there was no way in (well you know) that I was going to put those shoes back on. I would just suffer through the tender foot walking through the streets syndrome.
So now - 15 minutes into the - 2 grown adults that can't find their own car that they parked themselves incident - it dawns on us that we exited the building and turned left instead of turning right...NICE - so we were on the COMPLETE opposite side of where the car was! So finally - we found the car - headed home - with one ill - angry - fussy - pouty - not nice pregnant girl in the car - and one sweet - never loses his temper - doesn't have an angry bone in his body - everything's gonna be fine - can I get anything for you husband. WHEW! I just kept pointing out - "Well - thank God we don't have a child with us - how will we ever have a child if we can't even find our own car" I was a monster!
So - as I try to keep track of my sanity and not fly off the handle too much...I will remind myself - it's gonna be ok...I'm Pregnant!

My swimsuit...Her body!
I bought a new swimsuit - since I'm not sure the one I have is offering the "coverage" that I am requiring! It looks a lot better on her (pretty sure she's not even pregnant). But it's made by Olian (maternity)and I just LOVED the pattern! It's so non-frumpy unlike most of the others that I have found. Hopefully the sun will shine this weekend and I will get to use it!

Lack of a title here...
I survived the weekend with over 8 hours of alone-time driving, one rest-stop nap and lots of fun friends! Including this one below who was kind enough to help me with a 50LB bag of dog food - in the rain - and 3" heels!
I finally got to see Rachael and Brooke - which I haven't seen since last summer, and I haven't seen Heather probably since my wedding 2005. It's great though how we could just pick-up like no time had passed at all.
When I got home Sunday night my sweetie had cleaned the house - made the bed and even put "decorative" creases in the pillows. It was great to come home and spend time with my hubby!I downloaded this cool app on my iPhone called polarized. Thanks for the suggestion Lane. It's fun to take pics then give them a little bit of an "old school" look. I think Aaron looks rather cute polarized! And in case you don't get my e-mail updates - here's 28 weeks (and 1 day). We just love the occasional Chick-fil-A #1 with a sweet tea!
Only 12 more weeks and we get to meet out little man!
Have a fun week!

Sweet Messages...
Over the last week our driveway has become a chalk-board...which I actually love.
Each day I can't wait to come home to see if a new Sweet Message has been left for me and Aaron.
This one says, " I love you mrs. michele and mr. aaron and you reagan and nala and baby zakeri Love Sarah"
So who's the Picasso behind this art? This little jewel...Sarah Caroline
Just another reason to smile!
I'll be traveling to GA for Brooke's wedding this weekend, get to see some great friends from college that I miss so much- and stopping in for a visit with my super-fun friend HP!
Hope you have a great weekend too!

House Complete?
Is it just me - or do you too think one of these would make a house complete?I am convinced it would make me a better wife, mother - and a better person all around! I am also convinced at these prices - it should work in your home while you're away!

Aunt Leesa and her purse
OK - In the case that you don't know my Aunt Leesa - here's a little background. She's a great Aunt - very cautious, is frequently accused of being OCD because she thinks everything in the fridge is expired and makes my mom smell things before she eats it. She has never had children...until this year when she added 2 Korean exchange students in the mix. And to make it a bit more interesting...they are boys! So this quick transition to motherhood has really thrown her for a loop.
In her previous life her purse and wallet were always sorted and clean, she knew and rememberd all important dates and kept a really clean house - but could never understand why my mom (mother of 2) was always forgetting things, spilling her purse all over the place and slightly lacking in the organization.
So...with all that said - here's the e-mail that my Aunt Leesa sent to me this week...and p.s. she types in all caps like she writes in all caps!
COULD YOU HELP ME STRAIGHTEN OUT MY DOLLAR BILLS, I SEEM TO BE HAVING TROUBLE KEEPING MY CRAP IN ORDER, I HAVE SUNK TO A NEW LOW, AND AM THE RECIPIENT OF "THE SCREWED UP POCKET BOOK AWARD" ATTACHED IS A PICTURE OF MY MONEY, YOU WILL FIND IN THIS ORDER...A FIVE DOLLAR BILL WITH A BIG SLIT IN IT, STUCK TO A PIECE OF GUM, THAT WAS CHEWED AND WRAPPED UP IN THE USED WRAPPER, STUCK TO A MAXI PAD THAT HAS A PENNY HANGING IN THE CORNER OF THE RIPPED COVER. THIS IS NOT A SET UP, THESE ITEMS WERE FOUND IN THIS CONDITION WHEN I WAS LOOKING FOR SOME MONEY I DONT THINK THAT THE DRIVE IN WINDOW WOULD UNDERSTAND IF I TRIED TO USE THE FIVE DOLLARS. """""CAN YOU HELP ME""""
Gotta love it!
