Christmas and New Years at The Farm

A relatively new tradition in my family is to spend a week at "the Farm" during Christmas and New Years.  Several people have asked before, "what's the farm"  Well, nothing grows there, there's no livestock, garden or well.  There aren't any orchards, chickens or barns, but it's a place that we call The Farm!
Here's what the farm is to me, and I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.  Old house, dark wood paneling, lots of family, new and old friends, horses, 4-wheelers, go-carts, fort-building, tractor-riding, tree cutting, wood splitting, tree swinging, guitar playing, singing, board games, no internet, no TV, bunk beds, air mattresses, campers, bonfires, constant fire in the fireplace, food, food, sweet food, delicious food, and more food, finding 5 extra pounds that you weren't looking for, reading, laughing, a little drama, staying up late, getting up early, a little napping in between, cold showers, memories, memories and more memories.  That's what the farm is to me.  It's a place that my Papa loved to escape to with his family and I think he'd be so proud to see all the great memories we are making at The Farm!
