Pumpkins and Peanut Butter Pine Cones

Here are some pics of a fun afternoon we spent doing some "messy" crafts outside!
 Fine art here!
Christian was way too busy for crafts!  He was practicing for the tricycle tour.

Marlee picking out her paint colors...she kept going for the gold!

Walker was all about the glitter - black glitter of course.
Amelia painted her pumpkin, her hands, and apparently her lips too!
Next, we covered pine cones with peanut butter and birdseed.  Wow, this got really messy!  Marlee pretty much took over this craft after about 10 minutes.

yes.  plastic knife.  covered in peanut butter.  and birdseed.

 still my cutie though!
She's more like her mama than I knew, I love peanut butter too!  I prefer Jif, but she obviously doesn't have a brand preference.
 snack break!

Cooper taking a break from all the activity.
either that or he was overseeing AK while she mowed the lawn.  Very hard worker indeed!
the birds (and squirrels) have loved the pine cone feeders.  I mean, who wouldn't love a pine cone COVERED in peanut butter;)

after looking through all these pics lately, I've decided that I am in love with fall!  The activities, the colors, crafts, smells, events, temperatures, breezes, sounds of leaves and especially the fellowship that has accompanied this season!

  1. What a great idea! I remember making these as a kid and I know my girl would LOVE to play in peanut butter!
