The marigolds are supposed to keep the bugs away without having to use chemical bug treatments...
In just 2 weeks they have almost doubled in size! I can't wait for some vine ripe tomatoes this summer!
I used Papa's trick of stringing the plants up with panty hose...and since I don't wear them - I decided to put them to good use. He always said it helped deliver nitrogen to the plant. He always had beautiful tomatoes too! One day I would love to have a non-urban veggie garden! One of my most favorite summer memories! But for this year I will just be growing tomatoes - and a child:) Have you done any planting this year?

ReplyDeleteWe are moving in too late to get a garden started this year, but we are already making plans for next season! The thing I'm looking forward to the most is homegrown tomatoes, nothing else comes close!
