A Special Delivery - Photos from the Delivery Room

This Summer one of my best friends was due to deliver her first baby.  I've known her for 10 years and we have grown so close over that time.  I decided to ask her if she be interested in having me photograph her delivery.  I know that can be a very personal and intimate time for Mom and Dad, but I have pictures of both of my children from delivery and those photos are absolutely priceless.  Those tender moments before, during and after childbirth are hard to capture when you're the one in labor!

After giving it some thought she and her husband said they would let me take be there to take pictures.  Now, we aren't talking national geographic pictures, just those that capture the tiny details of the day, those incredible mommy and daddy working together times, and the moment when that sweet miracle takes her first breath of air!

Let me just tell you that this was one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced!  This Mama gave everything she had that afternoon and had a rock of a husband by her side for every push.  She delivered an amazingly beautiful baby girl that weighed a little over 9 pounds!  You go girl!
